Game Drives

The core of every safari — tracking wildlife across the parks in a pop-top or open-sided 4x4 with a specialist guide.

A game drive is exactly what it sounds like: driving slowly through a national park with your eyes on the bush, guided by someone who knows where the animals are and how to read their behaviour. Morning drives leave at or before dawn, when predators are still active and the light is best; afternoon drives run until the gate closes at dusk. In parks that allow it, a full-day drive with a packed lunch lets you reach areas most vehicles never get to.

All our safaris use vehicles with a raised roof or open sides for clear viewing and photography, a limited number of guests per row, and a guide who stays with you for the whole trip rather than a different driver each day.
