クラシック北部サーキットサファリ——7日間

タンザニアで最も有名な公園——14,763平方キロメートルにわたる果てしない平原は、150万頭を超えるヌーのグレートマイグレーション(大移動)の舞台であり、1981年からユネスコ世界遺産に登録されています。
1951年に指定され、1981年にユネスコ世界遺産に登録されたセレンゲティは、タンザニア北部14,763平方キロメートルに広がり、ンゴロンゴロの高地からケニア国境まで続き、マサイマラへとつながっています。その名前はマサイ語の「シリンゲット」(果てしなく続く土地)に由来し、南部に広がる短い草丈の平原はまさにその名の通りの風景です。
この公園は何よりもグレートマイグレーションで知られています。150万頭を超えるヌーと約25万頭のシマウマが、およそ800キロメートルにわたる年間の周回移動を行い、12月から3月にかけて南部の平原で出産し、6月から10月にはグルメティ川とマラ川の危険な川渡りに挑みます。セレンゲティにはまた、3,000頭を超えるアフリカ最大級のライオン個体群のほか、レオパード、チーター、ブチハイエナ、そして健全な数のゾウやバッファローも生息しています。野生動物観察は一年を通じて車両で行われ、平原上空を飛ぶ熱気球サファリは代表的なアクティビティです。
