Arusha Coffee Lodge scatters its chalets through one of Tanzania's largest coffee plantations on the western side of Arusha, close to the airport road. Rooms are spacious plantation-style suites with fireplaces; there's a good restaurant and a coffee tour of the estate.
For the pre- or post-safari night it trades the convenience of a central hotel for greenery, quiet and a bit of character, at a higher price.
