Rivertrees Country Inn

Rivertrees is an old coffee-farm homestead on the Usa River, its rooms spread between the original farmhouse, garden cottages and a couple of larger river houses, all in mature, bird-filled grounds. It sits roughly midway between Kilimanjaro International Airport and Arusha, which makes it a practical and pleasant place to spend the night before a safari starts or after a Kilimanjaro climb.

It's a guesthouse in feel — personal, unhurried, good food — rather than a hotel, at a mid-range price.
