These terms govern every booking made with Lund Big5 Tours Limited ("we", "us", "our"), a Tanzania-based safari operator. By paying a deposit or confirming a booking with us, you accept these terms on behalf of everyone in your travelling party.
A 30% deposit confirms your booking and secures your dates with our guides and ground partners. The remaining balance is due no later than 60 days before your safari begins, unless your confirmation states otherwise. Full details are on our Booking & Payment page.
If you need to cancel, the following applies to the balance of your trip cost (your deposit is non-refundable in all cases, as it secures bookings with our partners):
We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance that covers trip cancellation.
We plan every itinerary carefully, but wildlife, weather, road conditions and park regulations in East Africa can change without notice. If part of your itinerary is affected, we will always try to offer an equivalent alternative. Neither party is liable for delays or changes caused by events beyond reasonable control, including extreme weather, park closures, civil unrest, epidemics, or government restrictions.
Comprehensive travel insurance — including emergency medical treatment, evacuation, and trip cancellation cover — is a condition of travel with us. You are responsible for arranging your own policy before departure.
You are responsible for holding a valid passport (with at least six months' validity beyond your travel dates), the correct Tanzanian and/or Kenyan visas, and any vaccinations or health documents required for your itinerary. See our Visa Information page for guidance, and always confirm current requirements with the official immigration authority before you travel.
Safaris and Kilimanjaro treks involve inherent risks, including uneven terrain, wildlife, altitude, and remote locations far from advanced medical care. By booking, you confirm that you are in adequate health for the activities in your itinerary, and you accept these risks as part of choosing to travel with us. Please tell us about any medical conditions, mobility needs or fitness concerns before booking so we can advise you honestly.
Lund Big5 Tours Limited is a Tanzanian tour operator. For the trips we operate directly, we are responsible for the services described in your itinerary being delivered as booked, subject to the force majeure and risk provisions above. Where we book third-party services on your behalf that fall outside our own itineraries (such as international flights or hotels), we act as your agent and are not liable for that supplier's own acts or omissions.
Our guides may take photos or video during your safari for our own marketing (website, brochures, social media). Let your guide or our office know before or during your trip if you would prefer not to be included, and we will respect that.
The content, photos and itineraries on this website belong to Lund Big5 Tours Limited or our licensors and may not be copied or reused without our written permission.
If anything about your trip falls short, please tell your guide or contact our office as soon as possible so we can put it right while you are still travelling. For a complaint after your trip, email info@lundbig5tours.com within 30 days of your return and we will respond within 14 days.
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Any dispute we cannot resolve directly will be subject to the courts of Tanzania.
