Safari Styles
Join a set departure with a handful of other travellers on a fixed route and dates.
The Shape of the Trip
You share a vehicle and guide with a small group — usually no more than six or seven — on a scheduled itinerary. Everyone gets a window seat. It is the most economical way to do a full northern-circuit safari and an easy way to travel if you are on your own.
Solo travellers, couples happy to share, and budget-conscious first-timers who want a full safari without the cost of a private vehicle.
Comfortable mid-range lodges and tented camps on the northern circuit, in twin or double rooms. Solo travellers are usually paired with someone of the same gender, or can pay a single supplement for a room of their own.
Departures are on fixed dates, so check the calendar before booking flights. Group size is capped so nobody is stuck in a middle seat. If the dates don't work or you'd rather not share, the same route runs as a private trip.
Starting Points
A few of our trips that suit this style. Each is a starting point — we adjust the route, the pace and the camps to fit you.
Tailor-made, always
Prefer your own vehicle and your own dates? We run every one of these routes as a private, tailor-made trip too — just ask.
