&Beyond's stilted treehouse suites in the remote southern forest of Lake Manyara — the only lodge actually inside the park, reached through the length of it.
Lake Manyara Tree Lodge is the only property inside the national park, tucked into an ancient mahogany forest in the rarely visited southern section. The ten suites are raised timber "treehouses" on stilts, open to the forest. Getting there means driving the full length of the park, so the transfer is itself a game drive, and guests have this quiet southern end largely to themselves.
It's a small, high-end, in-the-forest experience quite unlike the escarpment lodges above the park.
